Personal Comments: I remember singing this song in high school often during church service without having a revelation of what it meant.
As an older youth, I see that it is a Thank You to God, for sending the Lamb to redeem the world, and a testimony of our Christian lives from the Root, Christ.
Author: Tim Cullen
Scripture Reference: Isaiah 53
Listen: This version is recorded by the MAYC Orchestra & Singers in their 1996 album, Shout it Out.
Lyrics:
Hallelujah, my Father
For giving us your Son
Sending Him into the world
To be given up for men (us)
Knowing we will bruise Him
And smite Him from the earth
Hallelujah, my Father
In His death is my birth
In His life, is my life
Thank you so much welcome all
